Reject New Regulations

Reject the new regulations! We're going to let same-sex couples adopt? It will be unhealthy for children to grow up in such a "family". It's not a real family at all--only a group of people living together. Marriage is between one man & one woman. That's Virginia's (and God's) definition of a family. Therefore, there is no such thing as a "same-sex couple" & they sure don't make a family. They should not be permitted to adopt children!

Another question - why did this last minute comments page only just now get created? Our laws are FOR the people - we are to have a voice in such proceedings and yet, this is being done sneakingly! Not FAIR!

I agree with David Lucas, All Saints Catholic Church, "Where is your legal authority to slip this change in?"

And...

Bernard Cunningham: "Research is overwhelmingly clear that a child is best raised by both a mother and a father...To purposely and intentionally deny a child the right to a father and mother is irresponsible, and does not serve the common good. It also is against the Constitution to deny religious organizations the right to operate according to their own precepts. This change would do nothing for the common good, would harm children, and would threaten religious freedom."

Bernard also mentioned that this is in violation of our first amendment. Take heed & listen to the voice of the people and our Constitution!

As a tax paying citizen, I'm very concerned about this proposed regulation. As Frances Bouton stated, "You do not have the right to change what God has ordained - that children have a right to a mother and a father."
