Guidance Document Change: The guidance document "Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content" was developed in conjunction with stakeholders in order to comply with SB656 (2022).
I am a teacher in Virginia Beach and I strongly oppose this policy. There are already processes in place for parents who wish to censor what their children read; this policy would allow parents to censor what other people's children read.
