Parents being informed of sexually explicit reading materials in the curriculum

Please provide detailed directions to school systems in Virginia that outline a clear procedure for what materials are considered sexually explicit and how parents will be informed that there food will read this material. Parents must be informed in a variety of methods multiple times not simple a note buried in other content.
A licensed school counselor and licensed professional counselor I have counseled students who were triggered about memories of their past sexual abuse when reading sexually graphic material. One on four girls and one in five boys become victims of sexually abuse. It is the responsibility of educators to protect and educate the whole child.
