General Information
Action Summary This regulatory action is needed to amend and reissue the existing Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) General Permit Regulation for Discharges from Groundwater Remediation of Contaminated Sites, Dewatering Activities of Contaminated Sites, and Hydrostatic Tests. This general permit establishes limitations, monitoring requirements and other special conditions for point source discharges of wastewater from contaminated sites, groundwater remediation, dewatering, and hydrostatic testing to surface waters to maintain surface water quality. The existing general permit expires on February 29, 2028, and must be amended and reissued to cover existing and new wastewater discharges from such sites.
