During the 2020 Session, the General Assembly enacted House Bill 748 (2020 Acts of Assembly, Chapter 469) and Senate Bill 110 (2020 Acts of Assembly, Chapter 470), which increase the annual credit cap, change the deadline for submitting credit applications, and extend the sunset date for the Major Research and Development Expenses Tax Credit. These guidelines are published by the Department of Taxation to provide updated guidance regarding the Major Research and Development Expenses Tax Credit for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2020. |
