I fully endorse the proposed regulatory language banning conversion therapy for those under 18-years and providing the consequence of board sanctions for those who engage in this activity.

There's no excuse for this practice.  It stigmatizes the child/adolescent and leaved lasting scars.  These scars are particularly acute when children/adolescents are "escorted" to residential facilities.

The regulations embody the legislative intent and are a definitive step in clarifying that this practice is harmful to clients and against legislation and regulations in Virginia..
