ARTS Chapter IV page 11 defines the induction phase as a process that is generally completed in 2-4 days. This is true for buprenorphine products but not accurate for methadone. Can you clarify the definition to include the Methadone induction Phase?

ARTS OTS states medication administration treatment during the induction phase must be provided by a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or RN.  According to this regulation Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants completing their own assessment of the patient pre/post medication would not be able to access an LPN for medication dispensing. The LPN is not assessing therefore they are within their scope of practice. Please reconsider the verbiage of this requirement.
