Why would a good parent abrogate their responsibilities in favor of the state?

Deconstructing this proposed program, and understanding the nature of the framer's intent, is not rocket science. Short form: the framers want to dictate what our children think and say, they expect that outcome to support the racist goals of CRT, and they threaten to ruin children if they do not comply.  It really is that simple.

That said, I encourage all parents to thoroughly examine the document and contemplate on what is written there. The entire work is an invitation to a legal firestorm of 1st Amendment and child abuse law suits. And they will come. Compelling a child to say that they are oppressors when they know in their hearts that they are not, forcing them to publicly concede their "white privilege" when they do not believe it exists, shaming children when they will not bow down, and threatening their futures if they reject the corrosive rhetoric are criminal violations of young people's First Amendment rights and the rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit. In the 1969 case Tinker versus Des Moines, the Supreme Court ruled in a landmark 7-2 decision that students do not “shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate.” The state has no right to compel thinking or speech, and none to indoctrinate children in a political or non-theistic religious philosophy (CRT) whatsoever. And anyone denied proper advancement or diploma when all academic requirements have been satisfied will have substantial grounds for a law suit. Parents who do not want others telling their children what to think and say will ensure that VDOE will not be a happy place to work, not with personal and institutional legal challenges coming in from all sides. Consider this a warning.

In closing, I am appalled that any parent in the commonwealth would abrogate their privilege and responsibility to raise their children properly, to inculcate in them decency and respect for all people regardless of their race, religion, sex, etc., to ensure they are good citizens and decent human beings...only to put this burden on uncaring, cynical, and politically motivated bureaucrats and unfortunately, too many though by no means all, teachers of similar inclination. I applaud the concerned parents, educators, and others throughout Virginia who are standing against efforts to indoctrinate and marginalize our children. There is a rapidly growing awakening across the country, not just here in Virginia, to what the left is trying to do in our schools; what they are trying to do to our children. But the battle is just beginning, and the war will be a lengthy affair. We will be strong and stand fast...
