Please Pass The Poultry Litter Regulation

Dear Jeff,

As a canoist  and angler in the valley, I am appalled at the current state of our rivers and streams in Virginia and realize that we need to take action to control one of the major sources of pollution which is poultry waste. Consequently, I want to go on record as supporting the proposed regulation that will require poultry brokers to test their soil before applying waste to their fields and to discontinue the practice of providing waste to neighbor's fields. Also, it is imperative that we have legislation and then enforcement that controls how waste is stored and that keeps it out of our streams and rivers. We must support our watershed, it is the only one we have.

Sincerely,

Chapman Hood Frazier
