Dear friends:
 
As an avid resident sportsman in Virginia I am always interested in the wellbeing of our state’s natural resources.  And one of my favorite activities is fishing in the Shenandoah Valley and nearby Hardy County in W.Va. in which I have a part-time residence.  Unfortunately as everyone is now aware of there are problems with the streams in these areas which are most likely affected from runoffs of the agricultural and poultry industry located there.
 
As a member of Trout Unlimited, I am in support of all efforts dedicated to restoring all streams to a more pristine place for everyone to enjoy.  When these waterways are healthy, everyone benefits from the increased recreational activities as well as cleaner drinking water for residents.
 
It is for these reasons that I support any regulation to end excess poultry waste being spread about that could ultimately wash off into our streams.  Please protect our natural resource so that all of us as well as our future generations can enjoy healthy rivers and streams.
