Connected to the River through recreational fishing and watersports both in the valley and downstream.

I think that the proposed legislation to limit pollutants and pollution access to the river should be adopted.  There are many types of pollution affecting both the Shenandoah and the Potomac.  I started fishing in the Shenandoah while attending college at GMU over 25 years ago.  Prince William County, where I live borders the Potomac, many miles downstream from the confluence.  Nevertheless,  pollution of this magnitude continues downstream, it always has.  Anything that can clean up the valley can only help the rest of the watershed.
