I am a fisherman who fishes the Shenandoah River regularly (both the North and the South Forks).  I have personally caught smallmouth bass with sore spots on them, so I have seen the result of the river not being healthy firsthand.  I believe that the new poultry regulations will increase the health of the river and provide not only better fishing, but also decrease the hazard to persons and families who enter the river for recreational purposes.  I see this regularly when I am fishing near Andy Guest State Park.
