I support continued regulation of backflow prevention device workers. These workers are skilled, knowledgeable and talented people who make sure backflow devices in our communities are operating properly. It's absolutely ridiculous to even consider deregulating this group of workers as it's quite scary to know that if deregulation happens, anyone can say they are qualified to install and test backflow devices. The thought of contaminated water coming out of faucets in my house is unnerving, especially if you depend on that water to clean equipment needed for medical conditions. So please, help protect our water systems and communities and continue to regulate our backflow prevention device workers and ensure they are properly certified. We need those skilled, trained workers.
