SUPPORT Continued Regulation of Interior Design in Virginia

My name is Jennifer and I work in Northern Virginia. I write this comment in STRONG support of the continued regulation of the interior design profession in Virginia.

I work for a small architectural firm as a senior level interior designer in the commercial office sector of design. Interior Design is a degree that I worked so hard to achieve and continue to work so hard day in and day out in the professional world. It is clear, eliminating regulation of Interior Design would gravely harm Virginia Certified Interior Designers, Interior Design small business, and others in the Commonwealth. Eliminating the Interior Designer statue would harm entrepreneurs, small businesses, and the Commonwealth itself. Eliminating the voluntary regulation of interior design in Virginia is bad public policy. Continued regulation is vital to practice, profession, industry, consumers, and the public's health, safety, and welfare. I ask you to not eliminate the regulation of this profession.

Thank you,

Jennifer
