My name is Harold White and I live and work in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Professional Licensed Landscape Architect. I write this comment in STRONG support of the continued regulation of the Landscape Architecture profession in Virginia.
As a graduate from the West Virginia University accredited Landscape Architecture School in 1985, I understand and have felt the tremendous weight of the decision the Commonwealth has made to try and remove the licensure requirement for Landscape Architects. I chose to attend an accredited school, continued my education after college while working in my profession, and pay for, and take the exams required for licensure here in this state.
Protection of Public Health, Safety, and Welfare
Fair Competition and Economic Impact
Again, I STRONGLY support the licensure of all Landscape Architects in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Thank you,
Harold White, P.L.A., ASLA
