Continue As Planned

Together we survive. Divided we fall. I feel that if we let our guard down with pandemic, we will live to regret it.

To approach with caution is our best plan of action. Our relatives during WWII sacrificed a great deal more than we are being asked to sacrifice during this period. History will judge our actions. So, it is our responsibility to buck up and accept the situation for what it is; an emergency. Protecting our children, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, acquaintances, and even those we oppose is the right thing to do. As John Kennedy said in his inaugural address, “Don’t ask what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”

To forgo a season in the sun and to suffer an autumn of distanced from the joy of society in order to save many lives is a sacrifice I am willing to make. A brighter future in exchange for a few months of hardship is a small price to pay when lives are at stake.

In conclusion, I beg everyone to continue to wear masks in public, follow distancing guidelines in public and schools, and be flexible concerning any adjustment our medical experts suggest.

We all wish to see tomorrow. If we take care of one another, we can make the future a beautiful reality.
