As Virginia begins to look at the re-opening of schools, the number one priority must be public health and safety. Decisions must be based on science and not public opinion. We must adhere to the CDC guidelines regarding the re-opening of schools. It would be unsafe, irresponsible, and unreasonable to expect staff to return to work to care for and educate children without minimum standards in place, to include the use of face masks and physical distancing.
