I’m in support of requirements to protect workers and the public.  It’s clear that unless told to do so, some employers won’t provide the appropriate precautions for their employees and train them on their use.  Also,  unless forced to do so, some of the  public tends to act as if their actions affect no one else.  Mandatory masks in workplaces  and mandatory social distancing protects those who aren’t masked.  Just like immunization protects those who can’t be immunized, masking protects those who for some legitimate medical reason can’t be masked.
