Use of Seclusion/Restraints in Virginia Public Schools

Please reconsider use of seclusion/restraints in our school. Seclusion/restraints can retraumatize kids. Evidence based research shows that seclusion/restraints are ineffective in modifying behavior. Even psychiatric hospitals are now emphasizing verbal deescalation in dealing with challenging behaviors. Staff training and other resources like Counselors, Therapist produce better results. Thank you.
