Some counselors believe conversion therapy can help.  It is not 'settled science.'  If someone wants to change their same sex attraction then denying them the help of a licensed counselor can be harmfulto them if they are forced to do it alone.  Also most juveniles grow out of that attraction and to imply that they can't can be very harmful to them.
