As a mother, I want to know that my daughters have access to safe medical care. The health department is mandated to protect the health of the public. Burdening the medical community with unnecessary regulations is a clear violation of public safety. By making abortion difficult to obtain, the health department will be fostering an environment that lends itself to dangerous alternatives to remedy unplanned pregnancies.
