I am amazed that there would be a fight against common sense regulations. Although I am completely opposed to abortion in the first place, there is no logical reason for removing regulations that would govern the safety of women obtaining such procedures. While the removal of a living human from it's mother is not at all the same thing as removing a ruptured appendix or other malfunctioning organ, the level in safety regulations governing the procedure should be the same. To suggest otherwise is not protecting the woman at all. Therefore, I am asking for the reinstatement of all of the health and safety measures the Board unlawfully watered down during its last amendment process and that the ability of the department to deny, suspend, or revoke the license to operate an abortion facility for violating "any provision of Article 1 (§ 32.1-123 et seq.) of Chapter 5 of Title 32.1" would be reinstated.
