This sweeping proposed change in which ALL exemptions for licensure are eliminated would have a significantly negative impact on child care programs and on families who depend on these services. Many families utilize cooperative preschool centres or short-term child care services for much needed time to engage in freelance or contract work. Many of these and religious organizations do not have the capacity or human resource to manage the licensure procedures that this proposed change would necessitate. Please do not move forward with these changes that would negatively impact families and businesses across the state.
