Health and Safety amendments to abortion facilities

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am writing to respectfully ask you to reject the proposed amendments to the Planned Parenthood abortion facility safety standards.  Unfortunately, Planned Parenthood has proven that they do  not regulate themselves sufficiently to allow them to be trusted to regulate themselves.

The purpose of the health and safety standards is the protection of those women who seek 'reproductive counseling' from Planned Parenthood.  This must be the priority.  Whatever process the abortion industry must go through, whatever cost it may incur, cannot be the primary consideration in this matter.  The lives of Virginian must be of tantamount concern of the legislative body - not the interests of the facility providing the service.  If said facility does not provide the service in a way that actually meets the needs of the public, they are not worthy of consideration above and beyond the people they claim to serve.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
