Strong regulations of abortion facilities are very important to the health of women who come to these facilities with the assumption that the facility is as safe as any other health care facility. Abortion facilities should not be allowed to self regulate just as any other medical facility is not allowed to do so. Critical health and safety regulations must be maintained, not weakened if women's health is truly deemed to be important.
