It is a well known fact that acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been developed and improved over thousands of years' of practice. We all agree that it takes extensive training to adequately understand its theory and clinical applications. To allow non-qualified personnel with minimal training (less than 50 hours) to modify and deviate from this time-tested and well established clinical practice is a serious mistake that will not only destroy the creditability of acupuncture but also will harm potentially many patients.
