As someone who has had dry needling performed by multiple physical therapists, with GREAT results, I do not believe that physical therapists should lose the ability to practice dry needling. They are required to undergo additional training are are regulated. This skill is not taken lightly by those that have worked on me and they made sure what they were do was 1) ethical, 2) in the scope of their akill, 3) that I understood everything that was happening, and 4) I was comfortable and saw results. I know the physical therapists that worked on would not have done any dry needling if they thought I was not a good candidate.
Thank you very much,
Rhea
