I write in strong support of the proposed engineering endorsement. As engineering is the real-world application of science and mathematics, introducing engineering in precollege settings can not only improve science and mathematics content learning, but also increase student interest and motivation in STEM careers. The proposed endorsement strengthens opportunities for students to be involved in engineering, especially those who may not traditionally be interested in STEM fields.
