I fully support the increase in CE hours from 6 CEU to 8 CEU.  As a constantly changing profession, I feel that it is important to stay on top of the issues that affect our patients and their care.  I feel that the opportunity to gain additional hours should be fairly easy due to the CE meetings typically offered by local VMAs, the VALVT and other organizations that host similar events.  There is also an abundance of webinars and free online CE that can be obtained.  As an LVT that receives no allowance from my clinic for CE, I pay for the CE that I get myself and do not see the expense as any sort of inconvienience, because it is for my personal gain.  I believe that extra education should be sought after, not argued against.
