As a woman who has experienced 2 abortions and fought on both sides of this emotional issue, I implore the Board to keep the safety regulations in place for Virginias abortion clinics.The last thing a woman dealing with an unintended pregnancy thinks about when she walks into a clinic is whether its safe and sterile. Trust me, youre so afraid and filled with shame that you just hope and pray the abortion doctor and staff wont hurt you. Rarely do your eyes look up from the floor.Too many of my dear friends are unable to have children as a result of botched abortions, infections, and other complications. The devastation is unfathomable and they suffer in silence because the guilt of killing your child haunts you for the rest of your life. They know their infertility is due to an unsafe abortion...but who are they going to tell" The deep, dark secret is buried but always rears its ugly head...you never forget!So, with over 400 violations of unsanitary conditions in Virginias abortion clinics I ask this Board one simple question...DOESNT IT MAKE SENSE THAT YOU WOULD DO EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO ASSURE THE CLINICS ARE SAFE" THATS YOUR JOB!!!!!
