This is the moment to scrap the absurd TRAP regulations, which were never more than a thinly-veiled attempt by the right wing to block women's legal access to abortion by falsely claiming that free-standing women's reproductive health clinics need to meet hospital standards. Absurd! Anyone who can get one eye even half open can see that TRAP is simply another effort by self-righteous busybodies to interfere with the private decisions of perfect strangers. As a Virginian, I'm embarassed and offended by the state government's 19th century attitude toward women, reproductive rights and health care. Let's start showing the world that Virginia is all-grown-up-now and doesn't need to treat its female residents like we're either half-wits or harlots who have to be watched over like sheep and can't be trusted to make intelligent, complex decisions for ourselves.
