It saddens me how often I have to remind patients and collegaues about how safe abortions actually are. Complications are minimal and extremely rare in places where abortion is legal. The anti-choice movement has completley misrepresented the procedure and even the president of the National Right to Life organization admitted that the laws are about restrictions and not women's health. 

The Board of Health should recognize and uphold the opinion of professional medical organizations such as the American College of OB/GYN, which does not support these regulations.
