To the Board of Health,
As a resident, I have long been concerned by the state's unneccessary and burdensome regulations on clinics where abortions are performed. As such, I support the Board of Health’s decision to amend the medically-unnecessary restrictions designed to close safe, trusted women’s health care centers in Virginia.
Let's not play games -- the restrictions on women’s health centers in Virginia are about denying access to abortion. Three of 21 women’s health centers in Virginia have been forced to close or stop providing abortion services, in part due to these medically-unnecessary restrictions.
A woman, in consultation with those she trusts, is the best decision-maker when it comes to her health -- not politicians. It's time to amend burdensome regulations on women's health clinics.
