Allow expired IDs

I support all forms of voter ID's including expired ones. If it has your picture on it, and the election officer can see that it matches the person in front of him/her, what difference does it make if it's expired or not?  If the person is on the list of eligible voters, and he or she has a picture ID, they should be allowed to vote.  Let's be honest about this law: it is intended to discourage certain people from voting.  This effort to eliminate people with expired IDs is just another way to do that.  Think about this: say an elderly person has stopped driving and has not renewed his or her license. The address is valid, and the picture is accurate. Should this person not be allowed to vote because the license is expired?  What about a student with an expired ID because he/she has graduated from college (but does not have a driver's permit)? There are many circumstances in which an expired ID should be allowed.
