In this day and age, when many systemic diseases have been linked to periodontal diseases, lowering standards for personnel who treat this disease is ludicrous. I cannot believe that the state of Virginia is even considering this proposal. The passage of this bill would NOT allow more patients to access of care, but a LOWERED STANDARD OF CARE. Please carefully consider the residents of Virginia and their health and only allowed Registered Dental Hygienists to treat patients. Thank you for listening.
