Board of Health,
There is absolutely NO reason (unless its financial) why basic health standards in abortion clinics can not be met, or even exceeded. Too many providers are poorly trained (or even untrained) and are unable to cope with the emergencies that may arise. The female anatomy in a gravid state is highly susceptible to hemorrhage that can prove fatal very quickly. Any reputable clinic should voluntarily comply with superlative standards, and certainly far exceed the present ones. DT Sutherland (retired RN)
