As a citizen of Fairfax County, I've received no personal notification of the switch over to required photo ID.  But I read the newspaper and am active in my community so I know the law has changed.  But many of my neighbors don't know about the photo ID requirement and I think we've done our populace an injustice by not keeping them personally informed via U.S. mail.  That being the case, I think we should accept legal, even if expired, ID's.  Let's make this transition as easy as possible so as not to turn away people who've come out to vote in good faith.  We get less than 50% of the population out to vote, we want to encourage, not discourage people from voting.
