strong opposition to sexually explicit material in schools

I am strongly opposed to sexually explicit material being used in any Fairfax County School.  We do not allow this material in our home and certainly do not want it being introduced by the school system.  I do not see a value-added for school children being exposed to additional violence or sexually explicit material.  Please consider removing such material from the cirriculum or at the very least advise parents prior to discussions including such material in the school.  My frame of reference is the biological/sex education introduction courses which are introduced in elementary school.  The school system does a fine job of advising parents and including options for alternative learning.  Please respect parents interest in knowing what their children are learning about in school.  If the material is sexually explicit, I suggest finding alternative material or engaging with the parents to consider other options.  Thank you for opening this discourse to the public.  I appreciate the opportunity to comment.
