I support the amendment

My two children are currently in private school but will be attending public middle and/or high school in Fairfax County.  When that happens, I would like to have a basic understanding about the materials that are being used in and outside of the classroom.

This is not about censoring or banning books or materials.  It is just giving parents the opportunity to find out more about certain materials that may be presented in class.  I believe that parents play a primary role in educating their children, thus should have the right to know more about what is being taught to their children.  Then they can make informed decisions about opting out of exposing their children to objectionable materials.
