The Virginia Catholic Conference is grateful for the Board of Health's implementation of Permanent Regulations for Abortion facilities. These common-sense regulations will ensure that women can expect a clean, sterile facility. While abortion is not healthcare because it ends lives rather than heals them, since abortion operates under the guise of healthcare facilities performing abortions should be regulated like healthcare facilities. This is consistent and what Virginians expect. The Board's actions should be commended and the regulations should remain in place.
