The appeal of the RMP licensee fee for small users of radioactive materials began in 2009 after the State's RMP took over licensing from the NRC. This very long process is now coming to a close. My concern was that my 7D license would not have its fee increased but instead match the lower fee that the NRC granted to small users. I am disappointed that the new RMP regulations do not refund the overcharges of the last 3 years, but I am pleased that the new RMP fee for small 7D users will be put back to what the NRC charged, $2,300, for the unspecified future.
