We are asking for approval for our adult son to utilize his Medicaid waiver services at Vanguard Landing as a future resident.  He still lives at home with us.  He is involved in activities such as attending church, playing Challenger league baseball, attending shows, movies and events, going to the zoo, going shopping, and more.  His life is enriched by being involved in these activities in the community.  Of course, living at home with mom and dad isn't a 'forever' plan for him.  Vanguard Landing will enhance our son's independence, social interactions, and choices of variety of activities on top of what he now enjoys.  It also will provide the support our son needs to permit him to thrive, widening his aperture of community-living so that he can live his best life.  Using his waiver-funded services at Vanguard Landing will make this possible for him.
