Shutting down a 150?year?old, sustainably managed fishery without scientific justification would needlessly harm working families and the coastal community while doing nothing to improve Bay ecology.  Sound management must follow evidence, not unfounded claims, and the evidence overwhelmingly demonstrates that menhaden fishing remains sustainable and responsibly managed.
