I Support This Bill

Ospreys fought their way back from near extinction due to DDT only to have Omega Protein  endanger their existence by overfishing their primary food source, menhaden, in the Chesapeake Bay. Menhaden is an important part of the food chain in the Chesapeake Bay for many species, and Delaware and Maryland do not allow Omega to harvest in the Bay for environmental reasons. Omega can harvest menhaden from the Atlantic Ocean. Please stop them so scientific studies can properly evaluate the risks, and please understand that many of those opposing the bill are employed or otherwise affiliated with Omega Protein.
