I believe that medical professionals should administer this type of medication primarily. There are parents that have EpiPens because their child has been diagnosed with needing to have it. I do not think this should be an additional expense for childcare providers. My experience has been the parent brings the EpiPen with the child’s other belongings if needed. The child in my care never had an allergic reaction and we didn’t have to use the EpiPen. I think we should mandate testing instead of have EpiPens all over the place with no need for them.
