I'm writing to strongly oppose the petition banning trans athletes in Virginia sports. As a woman and a former athlete, pushing our trans friends and neighbors out of sports makes me feel LESS safe. Community and sports is about accepting people as they are, and should continue to be so. There is no "threat" here from trans individuals. 

I hope the Department of Health will focus on more pressing issues such as the measles spread and reproductive health.
