I believe that Fellow Virginians who are transgender deserve the same level of protection, safety, legal rights, and respect as all people. Trans gender people are doing what we all try to do in our lives, which is to work to create a happy, balanced, and successful life where we contribute to our communities and are productive and responsible members of our society. Transgender people deserve the same opportunity to create a productive, happy life as everyone in our society and creating legislation targeting them to limit choices in finding success in life is in my opinion shows a lack of understanding, empathy and basic humanity.
