it is ironic to hear these transphobic arguments from the mouths of the same individuals who may decry the phrase “you throw like a girl” and respond in kind - with exactly what trans people everywhere are trying to be heard saying: my athletic skill has nothing to do with my assigned gender.

ask any professional athlete what makes them the best, you think they’ll say the types of hormones they have in their body? Get real.

What these ciswomen don’t understand while they’re crying about biology, is that they’re missing the perfect opportunity to combat misogyny. To stand hand and hand with all women-cis, intersex, trans. And say that we’re better than this. We’re even stronger now because there’s more of us.

This petition has nothing to do with the health of Virginians and everything to do with discrimination. No one should face discrimination because of who they are. Trans people have always been here and always will be. Trans people cannot and will not be erased.
