Oppose-stop using women's rights as a cloak for hate

Only an extremely small portion of people will excel at a sport, make money related to sport and play sports professionally. Most professional sports also have a shorter career life than, say, an accountant, a construction worker, a lawyer.  These cis-women would not have been those professionals and would've had to find different career paths like the majority of competitive sport participants. Why is an issue that involves three cis-women being made so important? Because they want us to hate people who aren't like us. Choose to question why you would support this. Are you personally impacted by this in any way? If not, use your energy to fight the larger system that wants to leave you without social security, without Medicaid, without your 401K, and without your humanity. Those issues will directly impact you. At the end of the day, this is about a system that wants to keep you down. Do you really want to participate by putting your energy into this bill?

If we are really interested in sport, why don't we take this moment to reimagine sport in general? Why don't we consult with trans women, cis-women, coaches and experts in the field to create a new way of participation that is not gender dependent?

Trans athletes are an extremely small portion of those who participate in sport. Trans people are also often the targets of discrimination, violence and aggression by others. They are often made to feel less than, they are at increased risk for anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, suicide completion and to be the victims of homicide.  Trans folks just want to participate in a sport they love, just like cis-women. Trans folks participate in sport while also carrying the ongoing burden of discrimination.

This bill will not help support trans women or cis-women and will only further support discrimination and play into the larger political purpose of dividing us.

I oppose 432.
