Even if you don’t think that the definition of womanhood or manhood is arbitrary, flexible, and constantly changing over time and cultural shifts (it is, but whatever), if you value your bodily autonomy, if you care about your ability to self-actualize and make decisions over what happens to your body without consequences from the government or disqualification from the opportunities you have that matter to you, you should be thanking a trans girl. The self-knowledge and the courage required to be something that you feel is right and good in the face of an increasingly hostile mob is something we can all benefit from, regardless of whether or not we are trans or cisgender. I do not want the government taking an interest in my child’s reproductive organs under any circumstance, this sets an unbelievably dangerous precedent, and everyone who thinks that they are exempt from being otherwise and targeted this way is lying to themselves. Let trans girls play sports. Who really earnestly cares about grade school sports? This isn’t what this is about. Get your hands off all children of all genders. You should be ashamed for even trying.
